The energy category is one that is challenged by a high volume of mistrust, customer churn and increasing use of ‘switching’ sites. Over years of regulation the sector has become commoditised, resulting in a need to develop distinct brands. Sponsorship has offered the sector a way to not only engage customers with things that they really love but also the choice of sponsorship and shared values allows energy brands to be more distinctive, differentiated and to showcase a more purposeful side.

From 2012 – 2018 we worked with SSE to use sponsorship to build the brand from the relative obscurity of local supply brands to a single UK master brand. We managed the sponsorship portfolio including partnerships with the RFU, Commonwealth Games and the multi-award winning and historic first ever title sponsorship of the Women’s FA Cup.
